The Schools Division Office of Baybay City was named last year, during the conclusion of EVRAA 2025, as the host of the next Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) meet. The said SDO, together with the City Government of Baybay, is now gearing up for the much-anticipated sporting event.

This monumental event will be held at the new Baybay City Sports Complex, located along New Diversion Road, Barangay Hibunawan, Baybay City, Leyte, where thousands of visitors, athletes, and spectators are expected to witness various sports competitions and related activities.

Meanwhile, to help visitors plan their stay, we are sharing the five best hotels in Baybay City where you can stay during EVRAA 2026, based on distance, price, amenities, and overall comfort.

Red Palm Inn is located in Barangay Candadam, Baybay City, approximately 2 kilometers from the Sports Complex. The hotel offers a parking lot and Wi-Fi connectivity. If you are looking for a place that is accessible, along the road, and away from the noise of the city, this hotel deserves a spot on your EVRAA 2026 bucket list.

Unfortunately, as of the writing of this story, the hotel has confirmed that it is already fully booked.

Also located in Barangay Candadam, Eddie’s Place Hotel is a neighboring hotel of Red Palm Inn and is conveniently close to the Sports Complex. Situated along the road, the hotel offers parking spaces both at the front and back of the property.

Eddie’s Place Hotel has a total of 10 rooms, with six rooms still available as of this writing for EVRAA 2026. Room rates range from Php 1,000 for an Economy Room to Php 2,500 for a Family Room. Breakfast is not included; however, hotel staff mentioned that guests may cook at the back of the hotel.

Fans Hotel is located at 30 de Deciembre Street, corner E. Jacinto Street, Poblacion Zone 23, Baybay City, in the same building as J&F and Puregold. The hotel is known for its elegant, spacious, and comfortable accommodations.

The hotel has 40 rooms, and as of this writing, only five rooms remain available, with rates ranging from Php 2,800 to Php 3,800. Fans Hotel offers free breakfast and a welcome drink for its guests.

La Patria Inn is located along 30 de Deciembre Street, Zone 7, Baybay City. While it is farther from the Sports Complex, it is situated in the heart of the city. The inn is known for its spacious and relaxing environment for guests.

Room rates range from Php 3,000 to Php 4,800 per room category, with breakfast not included. Parking spaces are also available for guests.

The inn has established a good standing in the hospitality industry, with several guests describing it as top-notch in terms of cleanliness and excellent customer service.

Considered a premium hotel in the city, L’Asuncion Hotel is located in the heart of Baybay City and is within walking distance of malls, coffee shops, restaurants, carenderias, and some tourist attractions. The hotel has 76 rooms and offers a 24-hour front desk service.

Room rates range from Php 2,925.00 to Php 8,000.00. Guests who wish to add an extra bed will need to pay an additional Php 1,100.00. For breakfast, guests are informed a day in advance whether it will be served as a buffet or à la carte.
